A long time ago when it first came out I joined a harness racing simulation (SIM) game called Harness Nation. Due to overseas work commitments etc my activity lapsed, I have since started up again and now there are stakes races to run in etc.

These are virtual horses that you can train and race everyweek. Believe it or not the majority of players are adults. Trust me, it can be very addictive!

There seems to be quite a few active forum users on here, so I'm sure some of you have come across it on your internet travels, otherwise its site is http://www.harnessnation.com/. I don't own this game, just play it. Nor do I get anything out of others joining, other than expanding a great horsey community! :) If anyone joins and wants some help, let me know! :) (Decoy Farm #39)

UNNNNNNRRREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLL

Thanks HEAPS for posting this...

I started up tonight and have called my operation "Phoenix Racing"

I've got 5 pacers and will be hitting the races in two to three weeks after a bit of training.

I love the set up and yes... I reckon it's gonna be very addictive....

Flashing Red.. you are a champion...

I'd train them once and put them in straight away (as in Wednesday or Saturday!) - that's what I did and 3/4 of them won :) lol. Then you have money to claim nice horses :) Remember they have to qualify before they can race. I only really "fastwork" between races, obedience train if they made a break their previous start or give them a turnout once in a while :)

Yes it is very addictive :) I've just been on it for 2 hours entering all my horses. lol!!!

Thanks Flashing Red, Did I miss the story Harness Link did on this game?

I'm not sure if a Harnesslink did a story on it or not, I have been playing the thoroughbred version since 2002 and the harness version came out about a year ago, so naturally I got excited about that too! :)

We probably should do a story but we don't want to give Duane any more distractions ;)

Yep, I have a stable of 5 and one of them failed to qualify. He broke during the qualifier and I have given him an 'obedience class' (love the terminology)..

lmao, bear in mind it has been geared for not just industry participants but for those that can't tell a horse's head from its tail too! :D

Is that a shot at harnesslink employees or did I read it incorrectly.

There is a bit of pots and kettles here - a complaint about what I said but here a crack at the good efforts by John and the team at harnesslink. Without their efforts we would not have this good site.

If anyone needs some help to get started just msg me Decoy Farm #39, but your best bet is to "create" as many horses as your bank account allows and start racing them straight away, it is surprising how quick it is to accumulate money through regular racing :)

Is anyone from here playing?

My bank balance is over 32 million so I'll be sure to send some your way if you do! :) If only I had this much money for real. Hahaha! :) I have some horses I could give away too.
