These were my to watch 3yrs from about 2 months ago from NZ, they are 2nd tear 3yrs.

I looked up Excel Stride, he had his first race back on the 10th Jan and went 1:55 at Menangle, cruising to a 36m victory :)

From what I've seen of him to date Gold Ace looms large and S. Reid has stated that he is definitely coming across.

I think once Major Mark gets to peak fitness he could be a serious player.

I would have liked to see what Major Mark would have done in the BC final last season, we never did get to see after the busted tyre incident. :(

I can't see an Aussie winning it NZ horses have a great record in the race and as I saw in an article the other day NZ's 3yo's are much more race hardened at this stage compared to australias as is shown by the fact excel stride is just resuming gold ace and the like have been racing since October.
