CHECKMATE RED QUEEN
The board has 64 squares and she has used 63 of them. It happens to them all, drunk with power, chopping off heads at will, losing a grip on reality and then falling upon the sword the kingmakers handed to her. Kev must be just sitting there enjoying every squirming moment, but no doubt saddened that his great plan never came to fruition. I can imagine he has already drafted his reply letter to the expected correspondence about to land in his office to reconsider his position to take up the ALP leadership again.
