Further to the stats posted in another thread, the 2011/12 season Sires Fertility list reveals that Hanover's Dr. Bridgette Jablonsky had an absolute Tour de Force with the freezing job she carried out on Somebeachsomewhere. Such was the quality of the straws produced that for the 2010/11 AUS season here SBSW served 68 mares via frozen semen with 52 of them going in foal, an excellent 76.47% PTIF. I can't recall a frozen semen sire ever posting such numbers here & especially so when they've been bred to a 30-40-50+ mares book. Usually they tend to bat down around the 50% to 60% mark.
It's worth noting that result is so good it is better than the numbers recorded by many of the locally resident fresh chilled semen transport brigade and also the on-farm bred sires for that same season.
