Great race ... but even better (on the eye) without the emergencies and the need to squeeze another in to make it 10. 4,5 and 6 don't belong in there IMO on both fronts. If only 9 make the cut, so be it.

Totally agree with your assesment the mare's you have mentioned would only be put in to make up the numbers.

i also have to agree with all that is said above, but either should Tara Royals based on the driving tactics the other week (http://www.harness.org.au/video/nsw/MEM19021101.wmv) and Pacific Playgirl will run 180m last if the stewards are on Thorny's doorstep on Saturday morning and stay with them the whole day, i'm assuming thats where she still is.
