My Bella Starr - Our Sky Major

On first look I wasn't sure about the dam line of Saturday's Empire Vicbred Gp1 winner My Bella Starr but on digging a little further found a strong correlation to NZ star juvenile Sky Major

Not only are they from the same branch of N58 (Scottish Eden) but I wonder whether it is the Art Major working with the In The Pocket in their dam lines

Actually the Sky Major side of the family has the weaker maternal sires compared to My Bella Star. Crockett and to a lesser extent Tuapeka Knight are not maternal sires you go looking for but that side of the family has managed to produce two top class pacers whereas the Donna Eden side is stronger on paper but not in results.
In The Pocket is a huge bonus in any pedigree. Bettors Delight and Art Major have both had a lot of success with In The Pocket mares while even a grandson of Direct Scooter in Mach Three has had a good run with In The Pocket mares.
