NSW Breeders Challenge Horses Dominate Nursery Pace Heats

Alabar NSW Breeders Challenge eligible horses dominated the Garrard’s Nursery Pace heats conducted at Brisbane’s Albion Park Raceway yesterday.
There were seven heats conducted and seven eligible Alabar NSW Breeders Challenge horses competed, returning the results of three heat wins and two second’s.
All winners competed in the colts and geldings division through the deeds of Pure Strength, Soho Valencia and Uncle Lile.
While the two second placing’s were in the fillies heats with Abbysn Ace and Poster Girl, they were beaten by a neck and 2.50m respectively.
The success of the Alabar NSW Breeders Challenge and the strength of NSW domiciled broodmares are now at the forefront of Australasian harness racing.
Since the introduction of the Alabar NSW Breeders Challenge in 2007/08, breeders in NSW have had the opportunity to choose the stallion of their choice and be eligible for a series in their home state. Similarly interstate breeders can choose the NSW domiciled stallion of their choice to become eligible for the series.
Testament to the NSW breeding industry, the list of this year’s Alabar NSW Breeders Challenge eligible feature race winners to date proves the depth of talent hailing from NSW.
