Christmas Jolt - Village Jolt/Christmas Cullen. Christmas Cullen a very good trotting mare by the great CC.

Village Jolt's showing a bit of promise as a stallion, He was an extremely good 2yr old winning the Breeders Crown and Woodrow Wilson and is from a very good family.

I think we will have to see how his progeny go for the remainder of the season Rich - his other 2yo's and especially his 3yo's for this season. He is not a USTA showcase stallion and I am too stingy to pay for the info yet - I will wait and see how his Aussie progeny go.
A classicfamilies search only lists 7 of his US progeny with the top earner only having $369k next to his name
He and his grandam were top 2yo's while dad CCS was a 3yo legend
By the end of this season he will have had to have fired big time to survive in this brutal game
His live foal numbers have gone 44, 51, 65, and 30 so far this season

I saw Village Jolt race as a 2yp at Yonkers...I think in the Cane Futurity. He's a big horse, and on a half miler found the first corner out of the mobile ( at Yonkers they let them go at the finishing post !), beyond him...Ron Pearse driving. He recovered and came again. I like him a lot ! He's bigger than most of the Cams Cardsharks,
but as you say, they need the numbers!

Totally agree Kev, His numbers aren't great and it will be tough going against the Big Boys.

Hey Noel, did you have to pay for that excellent report from the USTA?

KEVIN.. re the Village Jolt siring record: I actually got it off the Empire Stallions website here.
But you can get good stallion info for free from these:
www.harnessracing.com ( The Horseman and Fair World magazine site) scroll down the right side of the page to the stallion link
and ustrotting.com ( go to the Stars drop-down menu).

Thanks for the lead on the Empire site Noel - they have plenty of data on their stallions
I had tried the UStrotting but he was not a featured stallion - I am registered with USTA and can pay for a report one day if I feel so inclined but I think the Empire site is more than good enough

If Christmas Jolt keeps winning the way he is - I reckon Village Jolt will get numbers

Maybe getting a bit late in the season Kev but if Village Jolt can leave them like Christmas Jolt, He will certainly attract breeders next season.
