Heatwave forces change to program times

Mildura has had its program moved forward a couple of hours to start before midday in order to avoid horses racing in the hottest part of the day tomorrow. Going on today's temps up there, they need to have finished before midday! It was already 35 at midday there. I reckon they could also have moved Cranbourne back an hour as it is likely to still be pretty bloody hot there tomorrow at 6.30

ps Pretty hot at Maryborough today. They do not have regular temp readings at their weather station but did state that it was 35 / felt like 36 (in the shade) at 3pm (half way through the program)

Thank God there was a bit of breeze there today as by the time the last was run at the early time of 2.25 it was 41.6 (in the shade) but apparent (felt like) temp was only 36 ! No doubt if anything like my place today, that would have felt like 55 in the sun.

No races should be run in the daytime in VIC or NSW i reckon in Summer
