How are these names within one race for a mouthful

I haven't got any further than Deloraine so far but apart from being a top spot, it has some interesting horse history - it is the birthplace of the following :
Floodlight, whom I had heard of (Hunter Cup winner) who got his name due to the circumstances of his birth
Malua, a galloper I had never heard of, but he must have been INCREDIBLE - check out this link
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malua_(horse
A nice spot is Deloraine and the great Malua is well known Kev in the apple isle-at least up that way anyway. I believe there is a book out on the horse as well which I intend to purchase. If you haven't seen a tight track before you will see a few in Tassie. No 1:49 and change here that is for sure.
I bought a couple of racing books in Launceston today.
Les Carlyon's The Master because he can write and I need to erase Bart's supposed autobiography I read a couple of years ago (so boring - more a list of race wins than interesting stories)
The other is a 1986 book Gentleman of the Australian Turf
This morning we passed through Hagley on our way to Longford (the home of Mick & The Cleaner)
Quiz Question for a chance to win a lifetime's free subscription to the Harnesslink forum:
What legendary pacer hails from Hagley?
(Source of info - the plaques around the cricket ground at nearby Westbury
Breno is the first winner
I was hoping to win the amazing prize but don't know the answer to the question :) :) :) :)
He won an Interdom title at Alexandra Park.!!!
Kev..... Edgar Tatlow's Derby Lodge Stud was at Hagley.
So you could have had Globe Derby. Raider, Brazil or other Tatlow horses !
Read up on the stud now - they have to rate a mention. Thinking about it, I never checked if there were plaques to the left of the entrance as well - that would make sense (stupid me, I wouldn't mind a bet that there are)
I thought the answer was Halwes but he never won the Inter?
Its got to be Logan Derby ! Look where he started his career !
1934 Tas Launceston Show Cup Elph F
1935 Tas Launceston Show Cup Elph F
1936 Tas Championship -OP Elph F
1936 Inter Dominion Pacing Final GP 1
The one that got away..!!!
I visited Scottsdale today and saw a harness symbol on the Sports ground sign so I pulled in for a look. I found an unusual track which goes around 2 ovals with big bends and short straights. I have a vague memory of having seen it on Sky sometime But my memory is pretty vague nowadays
Scottsdale:
Correct Kev
Classic Famiies has it as Scott under tracks:

The main race is listed as the Tasmanian North East Cup first run in 1923 and seemingly last run in 2014

El Major drive at Bendigo is the perfect example why N Jack is best in the business - shame about this other stuff. Granted he led on one of the two favourites but to have the ability to judge the early quarters that he did - amazing stuff. Most other drives go 31, 31, 28, 27 and bring Sugars drive into the race. Drive on Brallos Pass in the Wagga Cup last week was 10/10 as well when beaten.
All 9 races at Albion Park were over the mile tonight, a bit unusual.
How does Royal Story miss a start (barring scratchings) in Race 1 at Bathurst on Wed night?
http://www.harness.org.au/news-artic...?news_id=32934
Fantastic that Stawell is getting this upgrade but $546,446 is serious money
Sometimes it would be interesting to see the costings
(You would think that they could have at the very most got it down to $545,000 and had $1,446 to do a driveway out at the Gap)
Racing will do anything for a buck nowadays - the Gp1 Nathan's Famous Hotdogs Galaxy at Rosehill today
Not surprising to see 3 of the worst drawn horses in the Kilmore Cup scratched - with Lenny drawn 3, why bother
$10,000 2nd prizemoney penalty free. No body is scratching.
All 3 stood down for a fortnight.
All 3 stood down for a fortnight.
Might have stood up with this promotion?!
I thought it was a joke BUT

That should bring the crowd back to the trots!
