Remember a T-bred one few years back. Was in the now closed Post Office Hotel one lunchtime. Always looked at first starters and see if names related to breeding. Don't remember mares name but had wife suggestions in it... 'Bride' something or 'Other half' something I think. Do remember laughing so much could hardly breath when saw horse name and wondering how it got through.
Race started and caller mentioned horses name and you could hear his voice change as soon as he said it. Whole pub in fits...
Horse name changed after first start.
Don't recall new name but old one...
TORQUES HIT
Another around same time BARGRIT.
And the fella who bought a share in a horse but hadn't told his wife. Rest of syndicate named it AVENUE TOLDA.
And of course the greyhound NORMA STITZ.
There's a dishlicker going around in Perth at the moment called Jabba The Pup which I quite like.
Don't Tell Hillary & Devilinabluedress...both by Presidential Ball. Others were Clinton's Cigar, Hillary Is A Dog and Unwanted Stain.
A Bathurst pacer some years ago was named Anaratta Detoor ! It only took one start before it had a name change. Clue: a locality near Bathust.
Torques Hit and Avenue Tolda had me laughing tears Paul
Tipping it wasnt named after Toby Inwood

Always a Virgin is about to have some pearlers! Whoseme father, dontknocktilutry and Busted (out of I'm sneaky) are just a few of the ones that caught my eye so far. The Yankee galloper Hoof Hearted is a cracker I think.
For those familiar with Wagga will understand a greyhound name that my mates owned, Action at Saxons (not sure of spelling but something of the sort) I think it is named along similar lines to Lees Bathurst one.
Gotashotaway was another well named horse with a good story behind it.
My favourite name is the ill-fated Perth galloper Gilded Venom ( Golden Snake - Daughters Charm ).
Just remembered one from a few years ago called gotashotaway, story goes as a young colt jump the fence and got in with the mares.
I think John McMartin bred him
That's him Greg, 22 wins, 33 placings from 147 starts, Just under $160,000 with a best time of 1.55.2
Here you go Kev.

One of them called WOFTAM.
Waste Of F@#$&/g Time And Money
My family have named some shockers but we have had a couple of good ones.
Filly Blissfull hall/Golden Lombo - Kissmybliss
Gelding ponder/classic crouch - whowouldathought
Filly Bo Jasper/Lady Operator - Dare To believe
I like whowouldathought but another beauty for that breeding would have been
Padmasana - the correct name for the classic yoga lotus position
Yeah, they wanted to call him ponderosa
'Grand Finale' , the final foal of 'Perfect Finish'
When I was preparing the footage of Don Dove today (in another thread) I discovered his mare Kara Mia was out of the dam Karamea Mae. Clever naming, and if you are a follower of 60's pop songs you will be across this one.
A well named first starter in the 3yo at Warragul tomorrow
It Is I - Heart Beats True (broodmare sire The Unicorn)
You could say all 3 names contributed although it really only needed the mares
Its The Emblem (Think Melbourne football club song "Every ........., It's the emblem for me and for you)
Aced The Seventh by Aces N Sevens, big brother was called Fairways n Greens.
