Those great pics that have appeared recently of the distant and not so distant past are worthy of their own thread. Some may yearn.."If Only"
If someone can remember where and direct me to the others (Thread and post number) I can add copies to this thread.

Real Namebailey martinPosts359Patricia, what a great photo. Look how everyone is dressed, probably plenty of bookies, no TAB, no skychannel, no mobile phones but plenty of manners and respect for each other.

Real Namepatricia ilsleyPosts223Isn't it brilliant , I'm pinching them from a guys twitter (Barry), I hope he doesn't mind, they are worth sharing .
Back in the day you had to wear a suit & my dad always forgot his tie & had been known to beg, borrow or steal someone's so he didn't get into strife. A few of the old crew used to take one for him as well.
Trish, I am not into twitter, blogging etc but I am wondering whether you had better give a link to this Barry's twitter
Bottom right hand corner, the bloke in the hat, that is Trevor Swan.
No neither am I but I follow a few twitter accounts on the internet , I first came across Barry's work from another account (on the net) & I was wrapped at the old photos
he shows. I will PM you just in case he objects to me posting them.
Bit late for that I guess!
Here is one I have - 1985 InterDominion at Moonee Valley which will bring back memories for many I am sure
