Lucky Chucky Defeats Buck I St Pat

In the closest vote in a long time for Trotter of the Year, Lucky Chucky defeated Buck I St Pat for trotter of the year. I think the election should not have been that close.

Lucky Chucky went out to race each week and attempt to win. I may be wrong Buck I St Pat lost races she should not have last year. Sure she rose to the occasion for the big races, but when it came to preliminary legs, it appeared to me she was being driven to save something for the big races as is often done in elimination races.

A champion races to win each week instead of saving themselves for the big events. I don't believe Buck I St Pat met that definition (in her division, there was no one else who was close enough to beat her)>.
