When do foals in Australia have to be registered? Does this automatically come up when you click on Mare's progeny? I know your season ends at the end of this month and just wondering if the breeder is leaving it till the last minute. :(

Jan, I don't know whether HarnessWeb is more up-to-date than HRA or whether they are the same db. If you are not registered with HarnessWeb pm me the mare and I will look her up for you. Are you asking if foals have to be registered as a weanling? If nobody provides an answer I will move this thread to the Breeding forum where I am sure we will get an answer

Foals are generally registered from 0 - 3 weeks the rego fee keeps going up the longer you leave it after the 3 weeks
Our new season starts today so I would assume the mare didn't get in foal, the mare slipped the foal, the foal died, or the foal was born with twisted legs and they didn't bother paying money to register it

Looks like the first foal didn't happen. Just lately learned to navigate the depths of HRA, so guess I'll have to wait another year. Thanks for the help, really appreciated.
