That's correct boys Gamechanger went 1.54.7 as 2yo, that included breaking gear (carrying strap) and breaking stride for a couple of metres. If we could only get him right this season he will go a hell of a lot faster than that..... Fingers crossed!

We didn't have much choice... Had some major issues with his inguinal rings! Female vet did the procedure with him as well!
Back on the subject of Records...every single Australian Mile Record is now held at Menangle and 8 of the 9 Australasian Mile Records are held at Menangle, the only hold out being Smiling Shard's 2yo colts mark of 1:53.7 which was taken at Ashburton, May 30th 2009.
Poor bugger. He's not Robinson Crusoe. Some of them have HUGE Jatz Crackers. I reckon they can't help but pinch themselves somewhere along the line. I think it makes more reliable, more easy-care racehorses of them.Quote:
