While $24.80 is not a sensational return, I Am I Cried was extreme outsider of the 6 horse field in R2 at Yarra Valley today (all the other runners were <$9)

Ridiculous odds - have been watching Bernie since being there to see his good 2nd at Maryborough 6 starts back and knowing how Hot the stable is running I thought he was a real chance from the draw. (But too busy with first grandchild to even watch races - 7 day old little horror head)
We are talking about Vic's leading trainer for 6 consecutive years - I just cannot forgive the asbestos burial
Couldn't find the "longest priced winner this season" thread, but saw that Im Paige won race 1 at Launceston yesterday at odds of $82.10. Trained by the prolific, Ben Yole.
Thanks Steve - only showing $41.30 on Vic/Tas TAB otherwise it would have been the leader
(Did you possibly have $2 on it ;))

Simondu Su $72.80 at Narrogin last night
Being the last of the big time spenders, I missed out again. My last big win was way back on 21 December 2002 when Left The Fakes won the Newcastle Cup, paying $97 for the win. That night I put the huge sum of $1 each way on the horse, in what it was it's best ever race.
Imali at Gloucester Park tonight. $91
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=GP141117
Thanks Pat - $91.00 is our new leader
I hope Wayne (Arlington) had something on the $56.40 winner of the 1st at Ballarat tonight

The horses form has not been too shabby, a bit surprised at the starting odds and the QIP.
The form of comeback pacer Mighty Maxwell has not been too shabby either

The parochial West Aussies would still be lauding Our Jerichos win at big odds but now have John of Arc to add to that list.

Tibytoa at Carrick today paying $97.50

Nansastar wins R1 and pays $66.60
I looked at it and thought how is he going to improve her enough in 4 days to win this final after she drew 1 in the heat and faded
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...ic#MXC01121705
Has done it more than twice from memory, may even be entered as a post here somewhere.

Honourable mention for Good time Slater paying $87 at Penrith. His previous win to that was at Penrith almost 12 months to the day.

Holy cow, not a bad field either and off the 8 peg as well.

Here's a Bendigo District winner that scored at VERY Long Odds: Longest Priced winner ever at the Royal Showgrounds.
The info is from well known country race vet Greg Hargeaves and verified by John Peck, and The Age Trotting Calendar of that year
In 1949, Col Stevenson from Fenton's Creek near Wedderburn was working as a builder at Mt Gambier.
His brother Ted had a pacer, Miss Fenton (with form reading 0 0 0) racing at the Royal Showgrounds Melbourne .
Col chartered a light plane to fly to Melbourne to get to the Showgrounds ( no TAB or legal off course betting then !).
He put his money on.
Miss Fenton was 100 to 1 with the bookmakers, BUT paid 609 to 1 on the on-course tote. Col collected more than half the tote pool.
There is a house on a farm at Fenton's Creek that was built with the proceeds.
Interesting stuff Wayne
Sadly Miss Fenton's family died out recently
She was the 5th dam of good trotting mare and Gp1 winner Villa Glory (1993)
http://classicfamilies.net/cf/Family...ilyNumber=A196
The only other name you will notice in the family's achievements is Villa's mum who won the nearby Wedderburn Trotters Cup
Villa Glory had no luck in the barn, producing only one foal - Sir Pegasus (winner of 10) before she died in foal in 2009
This is where you will find Fenton's Creek, for those of you who didn't know like me

A most creditable attempt at the title by Surbiton Jaxon at Geelong tonight - paying $91.80 notching up his first win at his 34th start (not many for a 9yo)
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...ic#GEC28031804
The leader however is still Courage Tells at $114.50 (see post 27)
WA Oaks winner tonight at GP Our Major Mama 139/1
Thanks Jim - we have a new leader
WA Oaks winner Our Major Mama $139.80
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...18#GPM04051866
If you had $1 on the Trifecta, you were the only one and collected over $18k (part of the First 4 pool jackpotted)
Great drive
$110 at only its 3rd start - I hope the Males had something on him
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...ic#BAC09051808
The Trifecta would have paid a bit Kev, Standing starts for young trotters not my idea of fun, Surely they could have run that as a Mobile and put the backmarkers on the 2nd line, Only a thought but at least it gives all the horses a fair chance of Trotting away
Struggle to find a bigger priced winner than Geelong rc3 in the thoroughbreds today. $170 home/top tote but $401 fixed and upwards of $800 on betfair
