This year the times seem a lot slower unless some are hiding in their paddocks & not in the Gold.
Thoughts?

Maybe they are waiting to run fast at Menangle in this years final.

Hi Trish, The times were a bit slower at Menangle last night all over and maybe the resurfacing and weather might be a factor. Purdons 2 Horses are very smart and Artistic Flight went okay as well.

A lot of the juvenile heats are sit sprint affairs, the favoured ones getting to the top then showing their precociousness on the way home. Follow The Stars closed in 26.
Have a feeling this years 2yo crop might be a good one. G Webster's full brother to Fly Like An Eagle is the real deal. Weather and track surface permitting, this year's final won't be a disappointment....unless you have a 2yo sitting at home.

I think I was looking at the fact that Lukes horses went around the 1.55-1.54 in heats & semis & final 1.52.
The heats were run way slower....
The semis will be run soon so time will tell with the track.
Looking forward to the semis & final.

I see where you're coming from but we might have to wait for the Breeders Challenge, just realised the boys head to Melton for the semis and Final this year.
I was lamenting out loud, I have a 2yo boy at home.
