We occasionally hear people complain about visitors draws
The Stewart stable would be shaking their heads after drawing 9,10,11,12 in tonight's NSW Oaks

The $25k Eastern Challenge at YV tomorrow should be a good race

I found it surprising that with the runners they had in big races at Menangle, the Stewart-Tonkin stable only had a stablehand as their rep
Nice finish to the call of R1 at Shep tonight:
"One Big Shew, he is going to win with a leg in the air"
;)
Invitation Drivers Championship at Horsham on this holiday Monday, understandably an all Vic affair this year
I reckon they should only count the last 3 legs as with only a field of 7 in the first leg, 3 drivers miss out.
(I know they have some way of averaging it but why not keep it simple)

No surprise to see Aha Reaction claimed for a mere $8k tonight. I even looked at it myself this arvo. He is only 2mths into his 6yo season. Norm must have too many horses and decided he is not going to be a champ

I cannot imagine the Taswegians (and South Aussies) love it when we go over and raid their better races

A bit like when the NZers plunder Victoria
I watched another Yabby Dam horse win today - nothing unusual
BUT I was at Stawell gallops
I remember when it was reported that they were venturing into the enemy code but I had not thought anything of it until today
At least caller Ric McIntosh mentioned that Yabby Dam are the trotting farm
A beautiful day at Horsham
Free admittance as per normal and an especially good race book for the Drivers Championship was even free
Construction doubling the size of the Tabaret is coming along nicely
There would be around 50 ladies at the luncheon
The pony trots between races 1-3 were very much appreciated to fill the space between those races
With up to 41 minutes between races and no stables or warm up yard accessible to the public the time would have dragged if not for the kiosk and the weather being conducive to lazing around
I might put on a couple of kilos before the day is over
I lied, IT IS 45mins between races 6 an 7 !
Going home
