I must not be paying attention for I didn't even know that GP's abandoned Friday meet was on last night (I'll blame the Tour de France for my recent zombie state)
Tricky Miki won the Golden Slipper

As they were both C&G worth $104k, I am thinking that they may be semi's ?

(I can't guarantee this link won't change to latest results - that is what happens for USA results but fingers crossed)
??? Does anybody know if Sunshine Beach is available in the Southern Hemisphere this coming season - I cannot see him on Oz or NZ lists
Pennsylvania's 3 Sires Stakes heats for the boys went to Captaintreacherous and 2 Betting Line
See the link to 'Yesterday's Top 10 Races' at the bottom of the Today's Feature Races

In more Ohio Sires Stakes heats at Scioto Downs Downbytheseaside's won 5 of the 7 races
He has good numbers in these heats but so does Fear The Dragon. Other sires include Pet Rock, Racing Hill, Well Said, ...
The other 2 heats were won by a McArdle and a Fear the Dragon.
Legs of the Indiana Sires Stakes were run yesterday
The winners were by Odds On Equuleus, JK Endofanera & Rockin Image (all sons of Art Major), plus Tellitlikeitis (a son of Well Said)

Hes Charlies Angel (Sweet Lou)
Just watch this
https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fi...21#COC19082107
Sat in death, 1.55.4 after a pedestrian 33 Q2 came home in 27.7 and 26.6 to win by 22m at his first start.
Charlene Gusman has a horse to threaten the Stewart stable dominance
You need to go back a bit in the pedigree (although mum was a nice 2yo), 3rd dam is a half sister to the granddam of Alta Orlando
ps Race should have been a False Start as No.4 was where No.11 should have been
The story of above

An even better (more detailed) story from Harnesslink
https://harnesslink.com/australia/he...angel-alright/
Surprising to read Charlene chose his sire for the markings that he usually imprints on his progeny (which she did not get)
Always B Miki's True Blue Lindy won the $160k Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for C&G at The Meadowlands on Friday
Sweet Lou progeny filled 2nd - 7th

Captaintreacherous's 2yo's had a big day in the states yesterday
Downbytheseaside dominating the Ohio Sires Stakes
Quinellaed the Colts and the Fillies, in fact got the first four in the colts although both winners won comfortably with the filly Sea Silk nearly a second faster than colt Gulf Shores
You will find them in the Highest purse box down the bottom of this link (but this link is only good for a day) and then click to go to the results

Not all races are super fast in the USA, even Sires Stakes Finals worth $70k can be run in 2 minutes
Grey Rocket won the Marylands SS for fillies in 1.59.4
while Anthonys All In won the colts in 2.01.2
Grey Rocket is by Cams Rocket who is now 24yo. He has only ever had one big earner - Googoo Gaagaa ($665k)
Anthonys All In is by Rustys All In (2006) who is yet to have a big earner (well a big earning classic winner at least, as my source is Classic Families)
The races were held at Ocean Downs, Berlin, Maryland
This is a half mile track so I cannot work out how they have mile races especially when their home straight is only 440ft (134m) so it must be pretty circular (pic below)
but mile races they were (no lead time) and here is a link confirming the track layout
http://www.horseracing-tracks.com/tr.../layoutOd.html
I wish I could find a replay to see how they ran mile races
I found this excellent video on youtube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nj2lHf4ETYk
They let them go as they hit the winning post and about to hit the bend
It must be a massive advantage to runners drawn in
Always A Virgin's Ms Quick Sand won the $68k 4th leg of the Indiana Sires Stakes for fillies in 1.53.0
while Endoffanera's Lorraine Smoke came home in 26.1 to win the 4th leg for colts in 1.53.2 at Harrahs Hoosier Park
Captains Queen and Mister Rea went around in heats of the NSW Breeders Challenge at Young tonight
Despite some obstacles at the start Mister Rea remains undefeated 6/6 while Captains Queen had it much easier making it 6/7 for her
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=YU140921
Sweet Lou's progeny filled the trifecta for the $64k Keystone Classic at the Meadowlands yesterday
A Captaintreacherous won the fillies division
An Always A Virgin won one fillies division of the $69k Indiana Sire Stakes
while a new sire to me - Fred and Ginger won the other
Gee the Gath stable missed an opportunity last week when Catch A Wave won and paid $16.70 (well at that price, I am assuming they did)
Surprising when during the week trainer Andy Gath said he is one of the best juveniles he has had for some time
He then comes out and brains them in the $40k final at Ballarat tonight rating 1.53.8 running home in 26.5
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#MXM18092107
In the $250k Kentucky Sires Stakes for 2yo C&G Pebble Beach (Downbytheseaside) beats Riverness (Huntsville) by a nose in 1.48.8
Here is a link to the replay

I notice that Catch A Wave's 3yo half bro Yambukian made it 4 wins in a row at Geelong tonight (after 2nd on debut as a 2yo)
Coppagoodone's only other foal, 5yo Better Copagoodone has been placed in half her 62 starts (including 10 wins)
It just seems more and more remarkable that CAW went around at $17 for his first win
Hes Charlies Angel is going around again tomorrow
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#MXC23092106
Horsham on Friday sees the debut of Fourbigmen's half bro Anotherbigman
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#HSC24092107
A good effort by the winner to catch him but Charlene might have gone a little fast on a horse having his second start with a 2nd Q of 27.7 and a 3rd Q of 27.6
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#MXC23092106
Some run by My Ultimate Ronnie at Penrith last night, 1.54.6 = only 1 sec outside Ignatius's open Tk Rec
The way he was driven you would have thought it was a final not a heat but check out driver Cameron Hart's effort of fending off a galloping horse at the start
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#PEC23092101
His 'greenness' cost him
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...21#HSC24092107
(replays not up yet!)
Downbytheseaside quinellaed the $133k 2yo feature on the Jug program at Delaware
Five 2yo races at Ballarat Friday night as we have the Vicbred Platinum heats
http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...s/?mc=BA011021
The Platinum are for horses who had not won $10k at acceptance time
Amazing to think, what with all her better performed 2yo fillies, Emma Stewart still has 5 of the 14 engaged in the Platinum heats tonight
The $50k final is next week
Big wins for Captaintreacherous and Downbytheseaside in heats of the Bluegrass series at the Red Mile with Sea Silk now undefeated from 9 starts

Smaltest ran 1.50.2 to break the Australasian 2yo record in a trial
https://harnesslink.com/australia/au...oken-in-trial/
At Flamboro Downs in Canada on Sunday
Erinwood Yves won a $99k leg of the Ontario Sires Stakes
He is a colt by State Treasurer (2009, Real Desire)
State Treasurer raced until he was 7, winning $1.9m and setting a world record 1.47 for aged pacers in 2015, up until now from just a couple of crops, he has not sired much of note
Erinwood Yves's 1.53.1 was 4 seconds faster than the other leg won by Aviator (Sportswriter)
