A great effort by all concerned.
That's a great story Paul. They're like our own babies, you can't watch them die
Our first ever Trotting foal. Looks like the cutest thing on the planet

Two more! This one's out of Blue Sensation which makes the foal a close relation to our boy Three Bears. I thiiiiink it's an Art Major. Small body but legs for days. Attachment 774Attachment 775
This one I'm guessing is an RnR Heaven - Diamonds Above. The family isn't overly generous with giving me details so I'm going by the mare' s head on who she is. Can't believe the amount of white in our foals this year. Must be through RnR because Holly has hardly any white going back 3 generations mare side
Edit: I was wrong. the mare is Call me sweetheart.
A Bit down in the back fetlocks but it'll straighten up. Mare absolutely loves him/her.Attachment 776Attachment 777Attachment 778
How's Slinky going Paul? Will you get his mum in foal again?
He going great now thank you Katie. Congrats on your babies.
Go see him yesterday and him and his other little mate very funny to watch. Both wanting to play but their mums not real sure about it at moment. Mums will get sick of worrying soon i reckon.
Nah not breeding with her again. Too much worry. Shame coz she got nice breeding. Can do embryo transfer but gets a bit costly. Although after Slinky win the 2020 Derby might reconsider it!! :) :) :)
Is it her first Foal? It's such a strange thing how a foster mum can bond so quickly with a foal when the foals own mother wont. Maybe there was juat something about the birth that made her not like him.
I love the name Slinky oh my gosh
