Awarded 1st an hour too late!

    Hamilton R2 today

    http://www.harness.org.au/media-room...?news_id=41137

"it was established that the Judging officials had mistaken the nose of Luverboy for the nose of Manly Boy and as a consequence ‘all clear’ was given on the incorrect placings."

Hard to understand when one horse had its head up and the other down
A massive stuff up which was corrected too late for the backers of the $1.10 favourite

I have been reminded that it is not an easy gig, sometimes they are not doing just one job and if there is no semaphore board they are timing and god knows what else - all the while with the TAB wanting results ASAP
(How can it be that we STILL do not have semaphore boards at every meet)

As Messenger said jobs like these aren't an easy gig. Never know what's going on behind the scenes, I have it on good authority the AFL score reviewers are forced to wear blindfolds so there you go, don't be so hard on them

Worse, they are forced to leave their Labradors outside!

Effective from 1 November 2019 head numbers must be worn by all horses presented to start in a race in Victoria.

This requirement has been reintroduced with the approval of the HRV Board acting on a recommendation from the HRV Integrity Department following a review into the incorrect placings being declared for Race 2 at Hamilton on 2 August 2019.
