    Unfortunately, it would seem you can sometimes be too old as Never Too Old collapsed when pulling up and had to be euthanized

    Stewards report says he was deceased upon inspection after falling. I had a horse of mine die during the running of a trial about 25 years ago, and I knew straight away he was dead, very unique feeling down the reins I can tell you and thankfully that was a one off experience so far.

    Very sad to hear, the horse obviously had an unknown problem come to the surface under stress.
