It is proving to be a huge weekend for Always B Miki
Her 2yo's won both the colts and fillies Breeders Crowns and his winner from last year Perfect Sting won the 3yo, making him the first back to back winner since Artiscape in 1998

There are 5 making their debut in R4 at Geelong tonight with their dams having 63 wins between them

The biggest watch will probably be on filly Non Parreil as she is the first foal of Arms Of An Angel, who was prematurely retired from racing as an early 5yo. Her first season of racing as a 3yo in NZ only produced 2 wins from 19 starts but then she came to Australia as a 4yo for 14 starts and a near perfect record of 10 wins and 3 thirds until her last start. She ran 3rd in both the Chariots Of Fire and the Miracle Mile. Here is a short article with all the details

    http://www.harnessbred.com/harness-briefs-19th-october/

Below is the link to the form guide for the race
I know most know this but for those that don't, just click on a dam for a runner eg Arms Of An Angel for No.1 Non Parreil
and it will take you to their details where you can click on their racing performance or progeny etc before returning to do another dam

Mister Rea's unbeaten record of 6/6 came to and end at Wagga on Tuesday
I still think he is very very good but maybe he is not as super special as I thought

Probably being tough as he was first up for 10wks and it was an open age race
But his conqueror is only a 3yo filly who sat on his back and finished over him
(interesting to contrast the two drivers' whip actions too)

His preferred style has been to lead so if she can sit on his back and outsprint him, his top 2yo companions will be looking to do that next year
His previous win at Wagga he had come home in 26.8 so if he takes it a little easier earlier, not many are going to come over the top of that

He had an injury concern not long ago. Was surprised to see him at the races. Trainer previously said in local media he wouldnt race for a long time. There might have been another 2yo on the card thats gone past him for David Kennedy/Jackson Painting.

A big night for the 2yo's tomorrow with the heats of the Vicbred at Shep
The Stewart stable would not be very happy with the way the fillies heats worked out
    Heat 1 - 2 runners
    Heat 2 - 4 runners
    Heat 3 - 7 runners
    Heat 4 - 0 runners

One of Stewart's 7 runners in Heat 3 for the 2yo fillies has been scratched (Interject!)
Now the question is - can she qualify all 6 for the Semis
The market has her runners as the top 6 fancies
The runners for other stables are $31, $151, $151
The $31 pop Mykorona is drawn perfectly in 1 so it will be interesting to see how they keep her out of the top 6

We are fast running out of days for a 2yo to get that win/bonus
There are two well bred debutantes in at Shep tomorrow night
Wendys Wish is a full sis to Santa Casa Beach
while Big Bad Ossie is a half bro to Big Bad John - US millionaire, not that the dam has continued her great American record since coming to Australia
