In race two an early look at the NSW TAB indicates Brookfield Ruler has been well supported early. Every race has around $300-$400 in the win pool at this point in time, except race two which has almost $1K. The place pool for race two is on par with all other races.

The extra money in the win pool for race two can be largely contributed to Brookfield Ruler, who will be making its debut for the Jarrod Alchin. Given the way Arterial Way debuted for the Alchin stable in 1.55.8 during the week Brookfield Ruler might be a good thing tonight. It is my estimate stable insiders have whacked on about $400-$500 early doors.

The horse comes from SA, which to my knowledge uses S-TAB. It is $1.04 in that pool with $1000 in the win pool. Again, all other races have a much smaller amount in the pool, about $200 in two races and under $100 in the final four races. So it is blatantly evident connections (or somebody) is having a decent go on Brookfield Ruler.

This horse has ran some good times over the 1800m at Globe Derby, but it is a big step up in class for a 6yo going from a C3-C4 at Globe Derby to an M0 at Menangle. The horse he beat last time out, Educated Lady, hasn't won for 12 starts and that was a C1-C2. It is hard to see where such supreme confidence, over $1000 bet on the open markets so early, is coming from.

We know Myisis was driven a treat by McCarthy two starts ago and has an oppurtunity to get a similar run. We know she got beat under a length in a $40K Group 3 last start.
We know Courageous Falcon ran 5th in the Carousel, the premier C2-C5 event in NSW, possibly the country, whilst Brookfield Ruler is coming from a $5K C3-C4 at Globe Derby.
We know Itaintover got beat a whisker in a 1.53.7 two starts back and then under a length in a $40K Group 3 last start.
We know Man of Art won a $25K race four starts back.

It isn't a spud field yet there has been a big go for Brookfield Ruler. Will be interesting to see how he goes, good luck to connections.
