    [VVV] Quite the contrary Barry. Exactly in the sense that it is an absolutely crap situation that your 2 x win 3yo now has little or no opportunity to race against his own age group because in their wisdom those who write the programs/conditions don't cater for them...but nonetheless that doesn't stop them having the hide to turn around & grizzle when you decide to drop your 3yo into a C0-1-2 etc. and notably against which they write no backs to prevent it (eg.4yo+)

    Why are owners of 3yo's motivated to stay in 3yo class - if a 3c2 wins they lose the c0 win?
    In my experience a 3c1,3c2 will win a C0 easily - the class drop is very significant.
    I would imagine that HRA have an issue with punter perception of horses winning and then getting into an easier class.
