She is very good. Another ex-Purdon / Rassmussen filly, she was probably third in the pecking order behind Dream About Me and Picadilly Princess in her year. It was Lightening Mile night at Ballarat tonight
but it was in the 1710m C2 race that a sensational New Tk Rec was created by 4yo Beach Surge
He took 1.2 secs off the Rec when he recorded a MR of 1.51.8
This takes his record to 6 wins from 12 starts
His dam Lagoon Lady was a Free For All'er who won over $200k at the start of this century

The Art Major daughter, a Vicbred champion at two, did plenty of work before putting paid to favourite and leader Miss Keesha NZ, then holding off a late charge from Callmequeenbee.
Closing quarters of 27.9 and 28.8 seconds rounded out a mile rate of 1:54.8, taking almost half a second from the standard set in the corresponding race last year by 3YO filly-of-the-year Don’t Think Twice.
Yes, a Class Record Steve, with the filly only a couple of secs outside the Tk Rec. I wish class records were included in Track details
Charlaval's 1.58.2 was a Tk Rec for the 2790m Gp2 but it was only the second race over that distance

Bettors Fire went 1.52.6 tonight at GP. I think it's juuust outside the track record. Just insane how quickly GP records fall
It is good time (and at $56) but third placed Chicago Bull has gone 1 sec faster
I noticed he had won a couple of trials at Byford since resuming Katie - obviously a decent trials track but surprising to see it has not had a single meeting for over 12 years

Our Uncle Sam took 1/2 a second off the 1660mt track record at Parkes last night rating 1.55.3 for trainer Chris Frisby
At Maitland on Sat night Our Triple Play Brad Hewitt lowered the 2422mt record to 1.59.8
