    Best Things Beaten

Thought I had seen the best things beaten for quite a while last week in Chickies Boy at Wagga last Friday.

But then I watched I've Gottalife throw away one yesterday.

Anyone who took the $1.20 must have been sick.

Not the best day for Darren Hancock. On Thunder Road could have also won if not for galloping just after the start.

You probably saw this but if not have a look at the horse in the Red and white. Franco Nelson. I don't think I have seen a horse chuck a race like this before.
Note the perplexed trainer at the end of the clip.!!!

Am I missing something in this story TC? After watching that replay I click on Franco Nelson (to find out if he had a history of turning it up) and on his page he is listed as winning that race?!

I wonder if he has been gelded yet!

I'm not quite sure where you were looking but the clip and his record @ HRNZ clearly show he was beaten 1/2 length by the horse Give the wink after easily passing 100 metres prior.
For the record he does have history of it without being so obvious as the race highlighted.

Harvey.....I don't believe he has been gelded yet but it must linger in the trainer's mind somewhere. He did turn up at Auckland last week with his A game however.

teecee, on the link you provided under the replay screen it lists Franco Nelson as 2nd BUT if you click on his name and bring up his details then scroll down to near the bottom of the page where it lists the horse's recent starts IT HAS HIM AS WINNING

Franco Nelson btn 15 Nov by Give the Wink in video provided by Teecee - 3 starts back. You might be looking at most recent start Dec 6 when beating Give the Wink.

I assume this is page you are looking at

Thanks Breno - reading too quickly and falsely assuming teecee's link was for most recent start (same Quinella sucked me in). Sorry Teecee
