Race 2 today Hamilton. At start number 299 Master Kiesey 3rd after running in start 298 last night.
At start number 251 the stablemate Candy Digger an unlucky 2nd in same race. Thats 550 starts between them.
A freshen up before start 300. Goes round on Thursday.
He defiantly had every chance in that race today Paul...
He sure did Adam,
about 6-12 months ago his stablemate, Candy Digger could never beat him home, but nowadays she regularly is outrunning him in the straight...
Their 2nd and 3rd the other day paid just under 4K with Lovable Nick in the Trifecta and they can very easily both be placed and or win this Thu arvo at Charlton at 1215pm.
There is nothing like the quality they faced yesterday at Hamilton so therefore their starting prices will be quite lower so can't see a Tri paying that much again with them involved.
Champ Devine off 30m best horse in race should win, Cudgee Boy should lead from the front and be there for a place or even win, Wicked Schemes has ability to win, has won on this, his home track, but loves to gallop.
Belsband has a nice last 400-200m but the 68009007 tells a story, however these trotters can sometimes put it all together some days and win by 10m.
Would be the story of stories if the Master could win at his 300th race, maybe a fitting way to be retired!!???
Doubt he will be retired when the 300 comes up - he's in the TM0 at Melton the next night!
I have done a little yarn about today's race on my Blog - I have uncovered a couple of interesting stats on the old Master...

Good stuff Kyle.
We did a bit of research ourselves last night. Since Jan 2011 (42 months) he has only not been at the races for 3 months. August 2012, August 2013 and September 2013.
I might be wrong but I think he is one of only 2 horses still racing to have won both at Moonee Valley and Melton (Smoken Up being the other).
If you look at how far he has travelled its roughly (conservatively) 3 times around the world (a 1/3rd of the way to the moon).
