They don't break 7 secs lead time over the short at Melton very oftern. 3 times last night. Leader wins rarely when that happens. Yankee Rockstar broke 7 last night and then had to run 27 first quarter to hold front.

Very nice horse. Got the looks and the speed and plenty of ticker too.

Full brother just beaten in first start at Menangle last night too.

Thanks Paul. The Rockstar has an automatic invite to the Chariots ; exciting stuff. He was an exciting juvenile but missed all the 2 year old and then all his 3 year old feature races. Hope it's now his time to shine. It was good to see him use his gate speed last night , it will give him confidence. Very happy with Born To RockandRoll too. He has only been with Team McCarthy for three and a half weeks and to have his first start in a $40,000 race and perform as well as he did was a feather in his cap. 1.53.6 for a two year old race !

On one hand it is good to see Villagem back but on the other hand I do not want to see the trainer win anything. Fact is that anything he improves will have an air of suspicion around it.
He seemed to win so easily last night after deathing
One thing for certain is that the horse must be kept to the shorter distances to show his best

I hope somebody made money out of Rusty's Reject. Have had him in my black book for years but too busy today to study form - all I had to do is notice the change of stable to realize how good those odds were

The well bred 3yo The Culture continued on his winning way in the first in good time and by a good margin. Mum is a half sis to Stunnin Cullen and her mum was a half sis to Il Vicolo.
