Obviously David Van Ryn Trainer has ironed out some glitches he recently had, well done. Interesting with Another Clare having a revitalisation in the Marg Lee camp, first up win and then quite an aggressive serve to Enjoy An Ale at the bell by Jason Lee, a little bit over confident seemingly, finishing 18m from the winner who was clearly to good. Vincennes out the back all the way, looked for inside runs last 400, held up never got a chance to unwind the way he can, also dont discard at all.
And congrats to Peter Hornsby who bred, owns, trains Nica Macdonon to win the $30,000 Vicbred Platinum Mares Sprint Champs beating Majestic Grace who had to come from inside back row over the sprint trip. And when you are really good but dont always run straight, that barrier draw over that trip is very difficult especially when you have to be nursed at all times.
Credit must also be given to young Haden Gray, it is a brave man ( or woman) who takes him on when he is on song and after a few days of enforced holidays he has his "stop watch" working as shown when challenged at the bell, and with composure rates his horse well and then doesn't knock him about to win well
