    Trtton vs Purdon/Rasmussen

Could you imagine the tripe that would be served up if Tritton had a day like P/R did today.

    Mmmm, makes you think.

Purdon has in fact had is name rubbed in mud with being linked with the blue magic saga while Fly Like An Eagle has also received a positive. Get off your high horse Adam.

    Back to the stats
On one of the biggest race days for the year
Starters in 9 races for 7 winners and 2 seconds (both beaten less than a foot) plus a Trifecta and another placing

High horse...please. Rubbed in mud would suggest he has been unfairly treated. Positive swabs vs a clean skin. Hardly comparable but bagged 100 times as much.

Don't really want to get into this debate but it's called Tall Poppy Syndrome and i'm sure that Purdon would have his fair share of knockers across the ditch.

I'm sorry but I don't think that any fair minded person could honestly compare the heights that have been reached by "Team Tritton" to this date with the heights that have been reached to this date by "Team Purdon/Rasmussem".

It's a bit like comparing apples to oranges. Both trainers would need to be compared at the same level of racing (group 1 level)

Need to be careful or someone may make the comparison as to the number of young horses both trainer combinations have taken from yearlings to group 1 winners.

That's the mark of a good trainer, the ability to pick the right yearling, and the ability to turn the young horse with raw speed and talent into the race horse that everyone with a cheque book wants to buy.

Take the blinkers off Adam. Believe it or not not everything revolves around Tritton. There's a big wide world out there you're not seeing. There has been plenty of criticism of Purdon. Our own website is one example.

Take note NZ Cup been run and won and got about 15 posts in the thread. Miracle Mile over a fortnight away and 30+ posts. This site only really has an Australian audience.

19 posts from 4 Aussie posters plus NZ's favourite son TC. Harness Cafe seems to be the NZers choice as, though it is often slow, it has had at least 70 posts in the last week - you would expect more but it is better than zip

And despite the slow traffic RaceCafe still has negative stuff about Purdon.
