Katie, Bendigo is 1hr 50min from Melbourne (central) but only 1hr 30min from Melton (our Harness capital). Bendigo being in central Victoria is probably the Centre of Victoria's Harness world (Noel will like that LOL)

Kev...we'll sign you up as a tourism ambassador !
Bendigo.....is the Centre of Victoria ! We race 43 times a year and run official trials over 60 times.
Within an hour's drive, you get to tracks at Maryborough, Kilmore, Wedderburn, Elmore, Charlton and maybe Echuca.
An hour and a half gets you to Shepparton, Ballarat, Melton, Boort, Yarra Glen (the back way) , and St Arnaud.

That's why the Breeders Crown was such a well attended event for the first few years of it's existence, being run at it's founding home, in the center of the state.

Wow Bendigo to Charlton within an hour ! From track to track it would be closer to 1.5 hours if you don't break any laws. But I suppose " tourism ambassadors" do like to put a bit of polish on things ! It is a nice track to visit Katie.
    Don't die wondering !

And what about this champion in the states. "Foiled Again, who at age 13 posted the 97th victory in his storied career, raising his bankroll further into world-record status, now $7,550,278 for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, and JJK Stables LLC"

With all due respect to everyone Kev, I have heard that said time and again, but it never actually happens AND owners are of course the lifeblood of the sport despite what breeders and punters will claim.

Horse owners need punters, punters don't need horse owners.
