Happy 70th today to Ted Demmler, one of our sport's greats. Caught up with Ted at his stables on Monday - he's still going strong and keeping an eye on the sport and can still reel off the yarns about his times in the sport in the good old days.

Congratulations to 81 year old Jim Barker winning the Mount Gambier Gold Cup on Magical Bazz! The race caller had an absolute shocking night on the call.

First Driving Win Since 1986 !

The second race at Boort yesterday saw Tryncatch me, raced by Bill Morrisey and trained by his wife Heather (nee Birthisel) come from back in the field to win the Robert Coutts Memorial T0 Trot.

Bill, a teacher by profession, drove Tryncatch me to his first winning drive since 1986 !

Tryncatchme , a 6yo having only its 6th start is now a 2 time winner, having won 2 starts back when driven by David Murphy.

An article in the Sunday Age on Kerryn Manning apparently - I discovered it must have been in the Sunday Age after I bought a copy of the Monday one!
