however Ararat gallop's irrigation pump packed it in early in the week so the meet was moved to Stawell

What is ARs pass mark for this season? What will it take for him to get another good book? One star? Two? How many individual winners is a good result from just over 100 live foals in Aus? Breeders are quick to jump ship...

I don't think AR sold all that well at the Karaka sales- everyone is saving their money for the big three sires. But if one of his progeny can win a classic race or 2 similar to what happened with Roll with Joe then he may get a good book again.

Saxon Warrior was declared a non-runner in the listed Tontine final at Hamilton today. You have to wonder whether the starters are under pressure to get them away on time (with races breathing down your neck) as it was clear that Christmas Jolt galloping in the score up cost SW a good length and any possibility of settling anything but last
