I noticed that someone seems to eat, breathe, live Harness Racing
Noticed that the recently exported WA performer Polak(Pacific Fella x Capture A Million) won first up at Yonkers on Saturday night in an elimination of the George Morton Levy Memorial in the fastest time of the night, 1.52 which is slick on a 800m track.

Morning fellow fanatics.
I noticed the export of Foreclosure N, a Rocknroll Hanover colt bred in NZ ( possibly to northern hemisphere time) exported to stand in Ireland! Was a nice early 2yo in the US..but Ireland?

What next? People will start thinking the Irish could be interested in AFL

My bad. Read it wrong. Said "A Paternal brother to No Pan Intended". Which means both by Pacific Fella
Thanks Rich!
I have often wondered what makes our horses so attractive to the American market ? It can't be cheap to transport horses half way around the world whilst I have no doubt that there is a plentiful supply of locally bred stock.
Any thoughts ?
Good question Lenny. Fillies and mares from good families always makes sense as for geldings - maybe it is a bit like our NZ scenario in that where they are going to race where they will be very competitive and the price compares very favourably

Harness Racing: Levy Series, Meadowlands Horse Shortage
Might be that the Australian $ against the US $ and the shortage of ready to race horses in the US have restored US owners to the market.
It lapsed for quiet a while while our $ was high, but it looks like the market has opened up again
