Has anyone seen an industry notice regarding the early start programming of races in Victoria particularly on Tuesdays?
Bendigo's program scheduled for Tuesday May 31 has the first race at 5:07 !
Has anyone at HRV thought about:
The staffing for this meeting...gate and track attendants, mobile driver, numbers attendant, etc etc who all have daytime jobs. Club volunteers also have work ! What about hobby trainers !
The impact on catering income. The planned event for Pubs Night has been cancelled. Serving meals at that early hour is just not feasible as possible patrons will still be at work,
Has anyone else noticed this?
LateIy I have been thinking that night harness racing has gone from being a 7 - 11pm event to a 5 - 9pm. I do not know if it is a winter thing but suspect it is more a case of wanting to be the 'next race' after the gallops have finished.
