we were watching the Meadowlands at the pub tonight, driving snow with big gusts of white air coming out of their nostrils. interesting to see the other side

Gallops Vic tried to beat the heat at Benalla today by starting R1 at 10.40am and the last at 2.15 but at nearby Wangaratta it was already 39° at 12.30 (but only felt like 32°)

No early start but it could be a stinker at Yarra Glen today

    Good move by Mildura

But unfortunately the heat might not drop until at least 8.30

Luckily St Arnaud has been able to move their meet on a day to Tuesday to beat the heat

Ballarat tomorrow night should be pushed back an hour - it could be 37 at 6.13 tomorrow
I would also consider scrapping R4&8 at Mildura on Friday so that it could be pushed back an hour - it could easily be 40 there at 7.10 Friday
Finishing Charlton at 2.10 tomorrow and moving Shepparton to Monday are good moves

It was 38 for the last at 2.10 at Charlton today
It was 36 for the first at Ballarat tonight and it still was an hour later
I hope Mildura get their thunderstorm tomorrow as it was 43 there at 7pm tonight

Hopefully what is on the radar brings relief to Mildura not humidity as they are 42° at 3pm - the same as yesterday, which turned into 43° at 7pm (and even the Apparent temp was over 40°)

What do they do at 7.10pm for R1 if this is the case?

Edit: With 9 races, the best they could do is start at 8.35 with 25mins between races and they would finish just before midnight (or abandon now)

No wonder NZ is a wonderful place to raise horses - they very rarely get a 30° day
