the nsw police should be recruiting from this forum...
any solid news on his fee?... i'd imagine the discount structure will be tough with only 1 decent stallion there

Hey Smithy
You will just have to send multiple mare's to RNR Hanover to get a discount lol.
Nah, that'll never work Smithy. As far as I know everyone on here is unsuitable by way of being above 5ft 2 inches & weighing more than 60kgs. These days they apparently prefer to recruit from the ranks of struggling trackwork riders at Randwick, Warwick Farm, Canterbury & Rose Hill
Hahahahahahahaha. Alan Galloway was an absolute Master of that routine Smithy, especially if your mare was domiciled on farm and you wanted to use transported semen from another farm's sire to serve your mare.
It went something like..ring, ring....ring, ring"G'day mate,it's Alan...sorry to ring you up with bad news but there has been bit of a problem with the deliveries today and we can't get the semen from (insert name of outside owned sire here). "Now Your mare's ready to be bred right now and we still have some semen from What's Next/Safely Kept/Armbro Operative/Village Jasper available...what do you want us to do?" Now and again he used to rope poor Simon Robinson into it and when you'd get on the phone and try to ring Simon to confirm he would rather wisely not answer the calls. Over the years I reckon by doing that Alan would have racked up a fair swag of mares that their sires otherwise would not have gotten. He was especially good at filling the books of 1st season sires that maybe had a bit of an unexpected sluggish acceptance by the Breeders. The consumate business man when it came to the stud game, no question at all. He was ahead of his time in many respects.
