They didn't Kev, but what a good idea.

I'll suggest that on Friday night when Dayle Brown and the management team are in Bendigo for one of the industry feedback sessions.

New 1650m track record at Bendigo

Konan's 2017 mile record of 1:52.0 bettered last night by the Maree Campbell trained/Chris Alford driven BELITTLED ( Western Terror/Ah Dinnae Ken) in 1:51.9.

Belittld was a clear last at one point in the race:

Breeders Maree and Paul Campbell over the moon on breeding their fastest ever pacer, and first track record holder.

The first 3 were all good runs and good drives
The race was a quick tempo from the get go in an attempt to bring Mirragon undone (I assume)

Belittled's 2nd dam Braeside Dream has been a weak arm in this family up until now (so it could be one for the stallions) but just open up all the little + boxes for the descendants of 3rd dam Tuapeka Star to see how strong the family is

Mentioned Pacifico Dream's Wedderburn Tk Rec yesterday elsewhere

    http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...20#WDC16022001

Today Tangoingwithsierra smashed the Yarra Valley Tk Rec going 1.53.1

    http://www.harness.org.au/racing/fie...20#YGC17022003

This was an unbelievable win as he tried for the lead with a 25.7 first Q and then death seated most of the way

Track obviously fast there this afternoon as well bred first starter Denis William death seated for a 1.56.8 win in the 3yo
while Divine Diva was only 0.3 secs off the 2150m Tk Rec in the last

Does anyone know how often tracks are remeasured , if at all ? Are the timing devices in the correct locations? Am I the only one that is sceptical about some of the times we are seeing ?

I'd like to see it done before every meeting . Pegs are a lot easier to move than the old rails were and quick times can add a lot of value to the sale price of a horse.

Yeah I am sometimes dubious. I'd be shocked if Leetons weren't out over the New Years carnival. Some 34 1st quarters and 29 2nd quarters when they didn't change pace. You can tell a 34 qtr easily by sight and they weren't 34 qtrs.

A new track record 1.50.7 for the 1609 metres was set in tonight's Newcastle Mile by Majordan. Previous holder was Balraj who was timed at 1.50.9 at Newcastle back on 15 July 2019.

Private Eye broke the Gunbower Tk Rec at only his 2nd start rating 1.54.6 in the George Croxford Tribute for 3yo's
