    Race call

I remember hearing on radio about 10 years ago a replay of a race call from many years before that of a race I think was at Penrith. It was during a moth plague and the race caller swallowed a moth down the back straight. Does anyone have a copy of this or even know the details of the event? I remember rolling around on the floor when I first heard it.

    Gtrain,
I think you may be referring to the famous/infamous call of an Intercity Pace at Maitland when John Gilmour had a moth fly into his NORTH & SOUTH at the 150m mark....The truth (or legend) states, he soldiered on best he could and once he got the first 3 across the line he is clearly heard having an UP & UNDER and further legend states that the judges or officials in the room directly below were the recipients of a few errant drips through the floor boards.......

That was it. Absolutely hilarious. They played it on 2ky 2 days in a row around 10 years ago and both times my mates and I were in stitches. Thanks heaps. Ill chase it up.
