Had a serious leg injury and has had a long spell. Unsure if he will make it back to the track. Bred well enough to be a a stallion prospect . His half sister by Christian Cullen just won at Tabcorp Park Melton in 1.56.2
Just wondering where he is or what happened to him.

Thanks Bonnie
I watched Sugarland win today and thats what got me thinking about Maffioso.
Always struck me as one of those horses who would struggle in open company. Don't get me wrong onderful money spinner and I would love to own a horse like him, but a bit like Kept for Pleasure - a bit one dimensional, far better leading or taking the sit behind the leader rather than doing any work in the run.
I thought Kept for Pleasure's connections got it spot on retiring her after her 4Yrr Old Breeders Crown triumph, so much money on offer at 2, 3 and 4 now and you never have to leave your own age group/sex. Nice to see a horse like her go out on top.
Hope he recovers 100% whether he returns to the track or not.
I know ITMQ wasn't 100% but I still can't believe Maffioso ran him down in the Chariots ... nor could I believe it when Jnr kicked to allow him : )
