Perfect day here and the crowd looks reasonable but it just shows how low our expectations are, as doing a count there is only 100ish here
Pardon the clumsy alliteration but it is going to be a very good meeting at Horsham on Monday
The master John Peck says it all here

If you need more time to get there you could probably skip the first two ascending order races and just get there about 2.30 for the last super six skirmishes (oops there I go again)

The Driver's championship seemed a real fizzer to me this year.
There were no introductions before the first of the heats, maybe the crowd did not warrant it (I have a feeling long weekends are no great shakes for feature meetings)
There was zero action in the 2nd of the championship heats and I would not have been surprised if the Stewards had called them in to see if they were interested
I guess there was a presentation after the last but I cannot imagine there would have been any crowd left (sorry Ash but I left before the trot - mainly due to the eternally long 40min between races)

It is so strange to drive from the Grampians to Horsham and see how dry the countryside is and yet the Wimmera River in Horsham is so full - thanks to the rainfall in the Grampians that makes its way there

The Drivers Championship must have been close at Horsham yesterday with doubles to Geary and McMullen and plenty of placings to Lang. Who won? Where is follow up story?
