Stifle problems

Just wondering if anyone has had success with a horse after having its stifles nicked or is it just a waste of money

I read that you need to build up their bums with lunging over trotting poles because nicking is hit and miss

my brother has had several horses done because they were locking up.all were successful operations......won`t make them win if they can`t run though.

if you decide to have the procedure done warren, even though it seems to be a pretty simple procedure,make sure to choose the right vet.my brother chose a vet that specialised in equine med. some vets that he spoke to had heard of the procedure but knew nothing about it. cheers.
