It is pretty amazing to think NSW have SEVEN $100k+ races on this Sunday

I don't think the Aiken stable will be too fussed about drawing 7&8 on the front line in the Len Smith, the market suggests punters are not too worried

Maximum size fields Kev, should be a great day to attend and a great days racing. That is a lot of money to be placed for the one event-who said racing in NSW was going down the gurglar? My opinion is that some of the money should be trimmed off a few of the other races and put into the len smith mile and make it a $200k race as a minimum. After all, these horses in that race are supposed to be the best.

Why do they include the emergencies in the barrier draw?
Whether they are scratched or not seems to determine whether we have 8 front or 10 front racing at Menangle as we see with today's mix.
I suppose they would argue that if em. are left out and just take the position of a scratched horse, it would be just as confusing for casual punters as allowing second line horses to move up to the front row.
I suppose it comes down to whether you think 9&10 front row are better than 3&4 second row (especially for mile racing)

Time for Aiken stable to allow Hector to sit and sprint?

Great effort by Ignatius, excellent drive and in good time. That's why they call him the "Tassie Terminator"

Vincent wasn't even shown the whip, one of the greatest runs ever by a 3yo in my book. Watch how the third horse pushed up to try and keep him 3 wide but he just roled past. Purdon knew he had them beat a long way from home.
Will make a magnificent stallion with his looks, temperament, pedigree and record.
