Sad to learn of the passing of popular horseman Alan Tubbs overnight.
Best remembered for his association with Tee Cee Bee Macray, Melpark Major and numerous other city winners in both gaits.
Remember interviewing Alan several times when I worked at the Weekly.
I reckon he spent some time on dialysis years ago so did a great job keeping a team of horses going. He also worked for the Trotting Control Board many years back.
