i own this horse with a mate of mine . We bought it at the APG and it was my mates first harness horse , i couldnt believe my mates luck after having a bad run owning Thoroughbreds he thought he had some sort of hoodoo on him , and i dont disagree. Mind you lucky is showing some promise.

Wish you continued success with the horse Montana, a well bred horse and from one of Victoria's better breeders.
Is there a story on the name Lucky Twenty Three?

Yes, I am curious about that too. If I am not being too nosey , can I ask how much you paid for him at APG and also did you have problems with him pacing , so that is why he trots?

It is interesting to note that this 3 year old trotter " Lucky Twenty Three " has made the Breeders Crown Final for 3 y/o trotters . His half sister by Lifesign: " Left In Paris" won the Vic Bred 4 y/o Mares Final and has made the Breeders Crown Final for 4 y/o mares . A rather unique record for the mare " Left A Dream" : with her first 2 foals , to have one of each gait in a BR Final in the same year !!!

Yes indeed. Let's not forget another of her progeny Master Joy. I have a bit of a soft spot for him. He always tries to do his best.

Lady Joy has had four of her progeny race and between them they have won almost 1.1 million! A breeder's dream.

Peak Hill won NSW Derby then sired Peak's Promise trotters Derby and Silver Peak Pacers Derby on the same day who then sired Silent Silver Derby winner in NSW all of them it is a very rare feat to sire consecutive derby winner's let alone have the dam produce them good luck to all very special mare's these are you could probably say 1 in a million perhap's

all lucky ever wanted to do was Trot and had no interest in pacing whatsoever.

oz , we paid 55k for him.

he was named lucky 23 because thats my mates lucky number and i wanted him to pick the horses name so thats what he came up with.

Thanks Montana for that info. All the very best with him on Sunday in the Breeders Crown. Shows a lot of promise and raw talent.
