Not including Melton, which Track that holds more than one meet for the season, has an average of $9,000 prizemoney per race (using 2017-18 season)

Clue - The town population is about 1,000

Thread will be locked until tomorrow so that the answer cannot be revealed too soon

Breno pm'd me the VG answer of Menangle (it might only have a pop of 1,000) but that is not it - it is not a metro track

On their Cup day they had 11 races and $89k of prizemoney
On Northern Region Championship day they will have 8 races for $82k prizemoney

19 races for $171k is an average of exactly $9k per race or 9 times the town's population

Thought Eugowra might be a chance with a population of just under 800, but their two meetings averaged at around $7,800 per race.

It surely is right but we did get a couple of other good answers - in fact Breno's Menangle is almost better although I would think they average more than $9k (but the population is right!)

It is pretty amazing to think that little old Ouyen averages $9k a race

Boort with their two meetings probably not far behind.

Good point Stephen, little Boort averaged $9k for their Cup meet but I am not sure that they have a 2nd meet
