I'm expecting HURRIKANE KINGCOLE to have a good season with his first crop of foals Kevin. It's good to have the babies racing again.
First WA 2yo race for the season at Pinjarra on Monday. A lot of Follow the Stars which is very interesting. Would you assume that his foals are early goers? Definite advantage to include in his marketing, lots of easy money to be won
Edit: aaah I see. All 4 are owned by Allwood Stud. Still, they have to show something and do everything right to qualify so I wish them a lot of luck.
Oliveris filly will be hard to beat but yes owner Bob Fowler has thrown his support behind his stallion Follow The Stars and has made sure he has several youngsters ready to follow the stallions footsteps as juveniles. Being double Westbred makes any success they gain particularly lucrative.

3 of the 6 that went around in the 2yo at Geelong tonight were by new sire Sunshine Beach
The winner was Youaremy Sunshine BUT he wasn't one of them - he is by Hurrikane Kingcole

4 Gold Tiara heats at Bathurst tonight
6 Gold Crown heats at Bathurst tomorrow night
Only 1 filly and 1 colt from the Stewart camp and no NZers (I am guessing that is to do with the entry conditions)

Jason Lee put a stop to the Turnbulls' dominance tonight otherwise 4 different Turnbulls would have driven the winners of 4 consecutive races - the last being the Smooth Satin Cup, and not only that with Jilliby Nitro winning the next Crown heat he also put an end to them driving the winners of 4 Crown heats in a row. Jilliby Nitro rated a super impressive 1.54.5 for a 2yo having only its 2nd start.

Yes very impressive from Jilliby Nitro on what looked to be a pretty “off” track as well. Major Bob unleashed a very impressive finishing burst having galloped of the gate.

Big 2yo races in NZ tonight
NZ's website has always been better than ours and now they have improved it even further
https://infohorse.hrnz.co.nz/datahrs/fields/051732fd.htm
Mark Purdon has 4 of the 12 in the colts (drawn 2-6!) but only 1 of the 8 in the fillies
He is going for 7 in a row in the colts

No Sweet on Me in the Sales Series Final and Amazing Dream killed them rating 1:55.4. Those fillies are clearly number 1 and number 2 in NZ with a long way to the rest of the pack. Spellbound was disappointing but is the best of the rest at this stage of the season. Stablemates Sweet on Me ($171,960 in stakes) and Amazing Dream (now won $190,467) will face of in the Harness Jewels for their next race. Sweet on Me has been the standout but Amazing Dream has kept improving ad was super tonight.

I thought Youaremy Sunshine from Snake Valley was very impressive in holding off the odds on fav in the Youthful Stakes for 2yo C&G at Melton tonight
He had to cart up the rest of the field to the tearaways and the fav had his back but he was too strong in good time

Agree Kev, and you left out it was an Emma Stewart trained favourite!
By Hurrikane Kingcole who has 5 2yo winners from 35 foals in his first crop. Stands inexpensively in QLD, and is starting to look a very good option for budget conscious Vic breeders who fancy a trip to the Sunshine state in winters to come to pick up QLDs very generous first and second win in QLD bonuses!

The Gp2 $50k Tatlows at Melton tonight
The Stewart stable looks to have a mortgage on the fillies division with the first 3 favourites in the 7 horse field
and although she has the top 2 in the C&G's, Youaremy Sunshine is not far behind them in the market
