On a good note...

Her win on friday night was great. She covered the last to first very sharply. I would like to see what her last quarter was. They said on sky she would've done it in 24 ???

Just watched the replay. Looked a 50-1 chance in the backstraight. That is some sprint she has after coming from last , being five wide on the home turn and then racing away. Wow!

How is this a good note.....

Why doesnt she do this more often......
I have my suspicions.
Like those horses in Sydney that can run through brick walls...?????

she does fly home pretty much every start - go and watch her replays.

Diesel - if you have your "suspicions", there are other alternatives for you to make your "suspicions" known to the relevant bodies, rather than you just coming here to whinge . Sounds like "sour grapes" and you are just talking through your wallet.

The point of the good note was : Back to talking about something exciting in racing!!!!! I'm guessing she made you lose money ?

[VVV] The TAB must make plenty out of you Trooper. That mare of Dean Braun's is a STONE COLD CLOSER. The faster they go on the front end the better she likes it and the more she gets into it from the rear.

I would not call her exactly disappointing and inconsistent in any way. Yes, I know it was run at Menangle , but she does hold the Australasian mile record for the fastest time by a mare at 1:51:8

70 starts , 17 wins , 18 placing mostly in top company , $170,000 prizemoney. She can have a place in my stable anytime she wants ! Owning a horse like her is what dreams are made of!

Also, I don't exactly think that her future progeny will actually pass through the sale ring at bargain prices either :-)

I think she would absolutely LOVE the speed/pressure on all the way racing in the US.

well firstly triple v, the tab is a tote so its not making money by him losing, and the tab bookies can't lose because they dont like writing bets

and hes more likely to go broke backing horses like her, get back flash home

triple - I can see her in the straight charging down the outside at Meadowlands , clocking under 1:48!!

She's a 7 year old now and perhaps the owners might be starting to look around in other areas , perhaps with the prospect of her being a mum. I did hear a faint whisper at a possible tilt at the ID in Perth, but not from anyone close to the stable. The tight turns over there would be against her.

[VVV] Fair comment. I have slipped into the erroneous format of referring to all wagering as 'the TAB'. It has been so long since I have physically seen a Bookie let alone had a bet with one. You are correct that you do lose on closers more often than you win because 9 times out of 10 here in Oz the speed is not completely genuine for the class of horse. Have a look at her really BIG winning miles. Pretty much all of them have been finishing over the top of a rapidly wilting front end. I like that mare & Dean is an excellent trainer. One day they'll decide to put her on the front end over the Mile and keep the pressure on all the way and she'll break them. I saw Jofess win a sprint at HP doing the same thing.

Not a chance, since mares better than her haven't broken 1:48 (think Southwind Tempo, Darlins Delight, My Little Dragon in recent times). The mares world record is 1:48 1/5 for a 1 mile track. Southwind Temo clocked 1:48 2/5ths on the 1000m (5/8th) Chester.

"I can see her in the straight charging down the outside at Meadowlands , clocking under 1:48!!"

My attempt at humour was yet again a failure. It was a tongue in cheek comment , not meant to be taken seriously , FR , but thanks for the stats.

[VVV] These modern women Ozninja, they're very assertive huh? It all started when they got the right to vote.

lmao, it all started when I commenced a post grad diploma while still completing my undergrad (6 weeks ago). You are all warned I might be a fire breathing dragon for another 8 weeks :)

I fear no fire breathing Dragon...for it is here in Estrogen Castle that I live with 3 such beasts.
