Outstanding Kiwi pacer Franco Jamar has sent a warning sign to his opposition just five days out from his Menangle harness racing debut. Now trained by top New South Wales horseman Luke McCarthy, the son of Courage Under Fire received his first look at the big Menangle circuit yesterday (Tuesday September 6), easily winning his Trial in 1.55.8 (1609m), the closing 400in a slick 26.8, comfortably beating home Chariot King and Atom Of Courage.
